My skillset finds me at home on film sets preparing actors, on wedding mornings making brides beautiful, and everywhere in between. I specialise in makeup artistry, however have also trained in basic hair styling to compliment my skill set. I’ve had the privilege of working alongside incredibly talented teams to create magic on screen and in editorial shoots. From concept to final frame, I love being part of the journey — there’s nothing quite like the energy of a set or the buzz of a shoot day.

Haircuts/Hairdressing
Hairdressing has always been in my heart.
From a young age, I dreamed of becoming a hairdresser, but the competitive nature of the industry initially led me down a different path. After years working in Film and TV, that creative pull toward hairdressing never left me. So, at 32, I leaped—saving up and enrolling at Servilles Academy in Auckland to finally follow my passion.
As the oldest in my class, I felt more motivated than ever. I threw myself into the training, often taking on five or more clients a day. Even when faced with challenges like carpal tunnel syndrome, I pushed through and completed the course with determination and pride.
Returning to Queenstown, I was thrilled to land two film jobs straight away—proof that following your passion pays off. Now, I’m proud to combine my love for the industry with professional skill, offering personalised hairdressing services to help you look and feel your absolute best.
Meet Charlie
Charlie is helping out Laura while she's away, on and off working on TV/Films.
Charlie has been a Wigs, Hair & Makeup Artist in TV/ Film & Stage for 20 years.
She's been extremely fortunate to travel the world touring shows, working in Film/TV, and doing years of weddings and events most recently head of Wigs and Makeup at New Zealand Opera, and worked on the Lord of the Rings TV series.
Charlie loves nothing more than using her skills and experience to make her clients look and feel more confident. Years of working with clients from all over the globe mean she's great at using her knowledge & skills to do whatever her client requires and adapt it to what suits them best and most importantly make sure they're happy.
With years of experience, she can work very efficiently and still deal with all client's hair and makeup needs.
